Dr. Adolph George Goehring, 59, a prominent local denist, died suddenly at Sutter Memorial Hospital in Sacramento, Calif., Sunday after a short illness.

He was born April 24, 1915, in Illnois, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. A.G. Goehring. He came to Klamath Falls with his family in 1928 at the time his father was manager of the local telephone company. He graduated from Klamath Union High School and later attended North Pacific Dental College, which is now University of Oregon Dental Schoo in Portland. He started practice here in 1937.

In 1936 he was married to the former Dorothy Murray of Seattle whom he had met in dental college.

Dr. Goehring was commmissioned in the Army Dental Corps in 1941 serving four years - one year overseas in Europe under Generals Bradley, Patton and Fleet with the 3rd Corps. Honorably discharged as a captain in 1945 he returned to Klamath Falls to resume his practice. In 1945 he built a dental clinic at 1415 Esplanade where he practiced until 1959, then moving to Salem with his family. He built a clinic in Salem where he practiced dentistry unil 1962, then returned to Klamath Falls to take over Dr. J.H. Carter's practice and resume his own, until his recent illness.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge; Masonic Lodge No. 77,; Knights Templar; Hillah Temple; Shrine Club; Manzanita Chapter, Order of Eastern Star; Veterans of Foeing Wars; American Legion; Klamath County Dentla Society; Oregon State Dental Society; and American Dental Society.

Dr. Goehring is survived by his widow, Dorothy, Klamath Falls; son Adolph George Goehring III of Redding, California.
