Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 8, at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
Born in Caswell County on March 6, 1927, to the late Richard and Ada Apple, Mrs. Capps was a member of Willomore Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She loved to cook and spend time with her family. She was very much loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Clarence Andrew Capps, and a brother, Lonnie Apple.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Linda Hayes and husband, Ronnie, of Chesnee, S.C., Larry Capps and wife, Fran, of McLeansville, Shirley Ayers of Asheboro, Kay Hopkins and husband, Richard, of Pleasant Garden, Michael Capps and wife, Betty, of Greensboro, and Toni Blackwelder and husband, Robert, of High Point; sister, Eva SaintSing of Greensboro; brother, Henry Apple of Yanceyville; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
