VELMAR E. SANDERS
Funeral services were held May 5 at East Main Church of Christ for Velmar E. Sanders, 71, who died May 2. Foy Forehand officiated. Interment was in Green Hill Cemetery with arrangements by Fox Funeral Home.
Born Oct. 13, 1914 at Pontotoc County he moved to Davis in 1959. He was a retired insurance agent and a veteran of World War II. He married Pauline Cradduck June 9, 1945 in Sherman, TX.
Survivors are his wife, Pauline of the home in Davis; two sons, Larry Sanders, Mancos, CA and Gary Sanders, Davis; three sisters, Christine Shelton, Victoria, TX, Joyce Coleman, Ada and Bethena Cave, Oklahoma City; four brothers, Elmer Sanders, Seminole, Willie Files, Oklahoma City, A.M. Files, Fittstown and Glenn Files, Sherman, Tx; four grandchildren, Jake and Joel Sanders, Davis and Jeremy and Sarah Sanders, Mancos, CA.
