Robert Samuel Flynn, 85, formerly of Exeter Township and Currie, N.C., died Dec. 14, 2008, at 8:30 p.m. in Golden Living Center, Exeter Township, where he had resided for 11/2 years.

His wife, Inez (Matthews) Flynn, died May 3, 2007.

Born in Currie, N.C., he was a son of the late Joseph Fletcher Flynn and Molly Elizabeth (Robinson) Flynn.

He was employed 26 years as a supervisor for Bethlehem Steel, Pottstown, retiring in 1978.

He was a member of Exeter Bible Church, Exeter Township.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was a former member of the AFL-CIO and a member of Gideons.

Surviving are a son, Robert James, husband of Faith Flynn, Delmar, Del.; and two daughters, I. Marie, widow of Lawrence H. Crabtree Sr., Reading, and Phyllis Ann, wife of Thomas A. Mullin, Norristown.

Other survivors include two half sisters, Etta Mae Grimes and Lucille Phillips.

There are also eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in Exeter Bible Church, 926 Philadelphia Ave., Birdsboro. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will be in Devotional Gardens, Warsaw, N.C.
