Janice F. Cullen, age 87, of Fennimore, died on Friday, December 12, 2008, at the Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster.

She was born on January 26, 1921, in Platteville, to Glen and Ruby (Barrett) Turk. She married Maynard Cullen on June 18, 1946 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Platteville.

Janice taught Business at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College for many years. Prior to that, Janice and Maynard owned and operated Cullen Jewelry in downtown Fennimore.

Janice is survived by two daughters, Kay (Roger) Auderer of Dubuque, Iowa and Mary (Danny) Wright of Mesa, Arizona, one son, James (Pamala) Cullen of Milwaukee, a sister, Ann Metcalf of Platteville, a sister-in-law, Helen Turk of Madison, as well as eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maynard on October 15, 1993, and a brother, Joe Turk.

A Funeral Mass was held at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fennimore with Father George B. Horath presiding.

Burial was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery in rural Fennimore.

Friends called from 4 PM until 8 PM on Monday December 15, 2008, at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore, where a parish scripture service was held at 8 PM.

The Larson Family Funeral Home of Fennimore assisted the family with their arrangements.
