Elizabeth Ann Smith, 81, of Stephenville, died Dec. 14, 2008 at Hamilton General Hospital. Funeral services were held Dec. 17 at the First United Methodist Church in Stephenville with Reverend Dean Reed officiating. Burial followed in Clairette Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith was born on Dec. 12, 1927 in Clairette, the daughter of Hub and Jossie (Salmon) Alexander.
She was married to Donald Fielding Smith on Aug. 20, 1949, in Stephenville. He preceded her in death on September 29, 1994.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Stephenville where she was a member of the Kum Duble Sunday School class and the STARS. She was a former Girl Scout leader in Stephenville and a member of the Busy Bee Club of Clairette.
Survivors include three daughters and son-in-laws Suzan and Eddie Garner, Sharon and Randy Mills, and Sheila and Winfred Dove; one son and daughter-in-law Larry and Patti Smith; eleven grandchildren, Will Garner, Chet and wife Laura Garner, Molly and husband Matthew Kacal, Jenny Garner, Shannon Mills, Andy Mills, Lane and wife Kate Mills, Cory and wife Kim Smith, Kaci and husband Wes Jones, Brett and wife Carolyn Dove and Brady Dove; eleven great grandchil¬dren; and two nephews James and John Denton.
Memorials may be made to the Mistletoe Hut Girl Scout House, in care of Linda Land, 1430 N. Race, Stephenville, Texas 76401.
