Born in Choate Prairie, Oklahoma, he was the son of Bethel and Lady May (Ruble) Cantrell. He worked as a truck driver for Dolese for 20 years and Sherman Trucking for seven years. Survivors include his wife, Doris Cantrell, of the home; sons, Dennis Cantrell, Mike Cantrell, and Tony Pogue and wife, Thresa. Also, daughters, Darlene Corum and husband, Ray, Sue Cantrell Thomason, Tammy Cantrell, Dee Danials and husband, Jerry, Tina Jackson and husband, Mike, Beth McDonald and Jackie Quinn; grandchildren, Dennis Dewayne Cantrell, Justin Ray Cantrell, Michael and Julie Pierson, Brena Pogue, Junior Pogue, Harley Pogue, Kim Allen, Ronnie Pogue, Tanya Pogue, Trent Pogue, Laurie Danials, Lisa and Mike Bickel, Christy Harper, Brandy Cursor, Robert Lambert, Mickey Klein and Larry Quinn; 11 great-grandchildren, and close friend, Cindy Halfaker. He was preceded in death by parents, Bethel and May Cantrell; two sisters, Lois Clark and Faye Barlow; two brothers, Leroy Cantrell and Jerry Cantrell, and wife, Dorothy Cantrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Dewayne Cantrell, Justin Ray Cantrell, Michael Pierson, Ronnie Pogue, Dennis Cantrell Sr., Mike Cantrell, Trent Pogue Jr., Tony Pogue and William Curtis. Cremains will be interred at Tannehill Cemetery at a later date.
