Mrs. Mary Walton Allen, widow of the late Joseph Allen, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Samuel Moore, of Quicksburg, Tuesday evening at 11 o'clock, aged 85 years. Mrs. Allen is survived by these children: Mrs. Sam'l Moore, of Quicksburg; Mrs. H.S. Wunder and Mr. Linden Allen, of Mt. Jackson; one sister, Miss Josephine Walton, of near Rinkerton,; and one brother, Mr. Lamar Walton, of Rockingham county. Mrs. Allen has been a consistent member of the Lutheran church for a number of years. Funeral services were conducted in Mt. Jackson Thursday morning by Rev. E.L. Folk. [Unknown Source]
