His full name was William Pleasant Scott, and Hers was Delilah Catherine Cox. From Morgan County, ILL. Before moving to Arkansas, living in Jasper, Mo. Thats where they married on 12 Jul 1855. William was a private in the 11th Missouri Infantry, and also a member of the Missouri Confederate Volunteers. One of the men he rode with in the Miss. Conf. Vols. was John Shirley ( Belle Star's father ). In the attached photo of William & Delilah you can see his Civil War Service Medal. I thought you might find that interesting. Have a good one.
