Lewis ran away from home after his father remarried because he didnt like his stepmother. He got into the railroad business, and later became an executive for Bangor, Main Railroad.
He met Josephine Richardson, married her, and provided well for her. They had one child, a daughter named Marion.
Lewis, no doubt did a great deal of traveling, and was killed in a train wreck in 1906.
