Viola E King Viola E King 84 a longtime resident of the Dennis area died at 9 pm Wednesday Feb 4 1987 in a local nursing home She had been in failing health for many years and had been in the nursing home for the past seven years She was born Nov 25 1902 near Morehead to Frank and Elizabeth i Berkenmeier) Bryson She grew up in the Dennis area and was graduated from Cherryvale High School She attended Pittsburg State University and taught for more than 30 years in rural one-room schools including the Twin Mound School Sylvan Dale School Mapel Valley School Salem School and at the Mound Valley School one year before her retirement She was the widow of George King Sr Survivors include: one son George King of Burrton two grandsons and two great-grandchildren
