Skipper was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Kenneth R. and Sherry Jane (Bailey) Lee. He started school at Aransas Pass, later attended at Corsicana and graduated from Carthage High School. He obtained an Associates degree from MTI in Houston, and worked in the computer industry. Skipper was united in marriage with Nancy Jean Seamster on February 15, 1993 at Clear Lake, and they lived and worked there until they moved to Groesbeck two years ago. His hobby was building dune buggies and enjoying the outdoors. He and Nancy enjoyed geocaching, and he also enjoyed online computer games. Skipper was active growing up in Boy Scouts, and obtained the Eagle Scout award. He recently activated Boy Scout Troop 690 through the Groesbeck church of Christ, and was the Scoutmaster of the troop. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Skipper was preceded in death by his mother, Sherry Lee, who was a teacher in Groesbeck for many years; his younger brother, Travis Malcolm Lee; grandfathers, Lloyd Herman Bailey and Raymond D. Lee; and grandmother, Mollie Lee.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Jean Lee, of Groesbeck; father, Kenneth R. Lee, of Groesbeck; grandmother, Jane Bailey, of Aransas Pass; sisters-in-law, Devora Roderick and her husband, Bill, of Clute, and Cherle Whitehead and her husband, Mike, of Beaumont; aunts, Effie Jo Jackson and husband, Herschel, of Falfurrias, Hallie Ruth Chambliss and husband, Jeff, of Ingleside, and Ginger Muse, of Aransas Pass; three nieces; two nephews; and numerous cousins.
