Devoted husband, father and grandfather, Harold Phoenix Clawson, age 68, died on January 30, 1990 at his home in West Valley City, after a long illness.


Born February 13, 1921 in Phoenix, Arizona, a son of Lawrence and Hannah Allen Clawson. Married Lois Peterson on August 5, 1949 in the Logan LDS Temple. Member LDS Church and served a North Central States Mission. Was a proud World War II veteran of five years.


Survived by wife; six sons and one daughter, Lorald Kent, Joseph Lawrence, David Orville, Mrs. Douglas (Loralee) Candland, Terry Leslie, Charles Hyrum, Richard Allen; foster son, Ernest Castillo; 19 grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Kovalenko, California; Lucille DeWitt, Myrtle Poulter, both of Arizona.


Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 12 noon in the West Valley 1st Ward Chapel (Granger 1st Ward), 3270 West 3650 South. Friends may call on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and on Saturday at the Church one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
