IRENE SCHLOTTERBECK
Hamilton - Irene Wynona Schlotterbeck 77, of Hamilton died Sept. 10, 1997, at her home.
Mrs. Schlotterbeck was a homemaker. She also a leader in the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts for many years.
Irene Wynona Sherman, daughter of William R. "Bill" and Dona May Watts Sherman, was born Feb. 3, 1920 at Quincy.
A lifetime resident of Quincy, Neal and Hamilton communities. Mrs. Schlotterbeck attended number 9 and Quincy grade schools and Hamilton High School.
She married Ira Lloyd Schlotterbeck on Feb. 14, 1938, at Eureka, and they lived at Hamilton.
Mrs. Schlotterbeck attended the Methodist Church and was a member of the Royal Neighbors.
She is survived by three sons, Larry "Jake" Schlotterbreck and Don "Beaner" Schlotterbeck of Hamilton and Howard Schlotterbeck of Eureka; a daughter, Neva Linden of Branman, Okla., a brother, Pat Sherman of Hamilton, a sister Gladys Williams of Madison; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. A son Wilbur Schlotterbeck; two brothers, Harry and
Bus Sherman; and a grandson died earlier. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Hamilton United Methodist Church. The Rev. Willie Jones will conduct the service. Burial will be in Janesville Cemetery at Hamilton.
Memorial contributions to the cemetery Maintenance Building Fund may be sent to the Campbell-Kelley Funeral Home in Eureka.
