DENMAN, John Charles age 66 of Miamisburg, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Kettering Medical Center, Sycamore Hospital, Miamisburg. John was born December 6, 1942 in Mason, Ohio to John M. and Genevieve R. (Garst) Denman.
John was preceded in death by his father December 21, 2007. He is survived by his mother who resides in New Lebanon and his wife of 24 years, Doris M. (Porter) Denman, whom he married August 10, 1984. Also surviving are his daughter, Lisa R. Williford and Richard Horn of Miamisburg; sons, Michael L. Roberts of Germantown, Robert A. (Sandy) Roberts of Warner Robins, GA and Theodore S. Roberts of Miamisburg; grandchildren, Sarah Roberts, Charles M. Williford, Jr., Brandon L. Williford, Heather Roberts, Kristina Roberts, Allyssa Roberts, Zack Weaver, Melissa Johnson and Aaron Johnson; brother, James (Tammy) Denman of Miamisburg; sisters, Ann (Jim) Pappas of Hilham, TN and Jill (Steve ) Wright of New Lebanon; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Charles) Schoonover of Miamisburg; brother-in-law, Dale (Betty) Porter of Germantown; Aunt Mary and Uncle Gene Honerlaw of Mason; close friends, Luisa Alarcon and family and several nieces and nephews. John was a 1961 graduate of Miamisburg High School and later trained in law enforcement. He served during the Vietnam War and was enlisted in the Army and Air Force as an MP. John served on the Miamisburg Police Department, Fire Department and as a foster parent in Montgomery County. He also was employed by GM for over 35 years before retiring. John was an intelligent and compassionate man who never forgot anything and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. In his leisure time he enjoyed crosswords, reading and travel.
