Lee Goin, Retired Farmer, Dies at 78-Lee Burris Goin, 78, of 315 S. 23rd Place, died at 9:27 a.m. yesterday in Decatur and Macon County Hospital where he had been a patient since Nov. 19. Mr. Goin, a retired farmer, was born May 14, 1879, in McLeansboro, a son of Elijah and Mary Jane Cross Goin. On Nov. 10, 1898, he married Louisa Bright in McLeansboro. She died Jan. 27, 1957. He was a resident of Macon County for 50 years. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church. Mr. Goin leaves sons, Clyde H., Dubuque, Iowa; Walter L., Hammond, Ind.; Rolla M., Macon; daughters, Mrs. Nellie Payne, Mrs. Helen M. Hart, Mrs. Daisy Isaacson, Decatur; Mrs. Eva Moore, Portland, Ore; sisters, Mrs. Myra Gunter, McLeansboro; Mrs. Katie Patch, Monmouth, 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, with burial in Macon County Memorial Park. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today.
