Daughter of David Donan South and Margaret Craven (Aubrey) South. Married Francis M. McDonald in Hardin County, KY, 1858. Francis died in 1865 during his Civil War service and in 1867 she married widower Caleb Ball in Hardin County whom she outlived by nearly fifty years.
