Cora B [MEDLOCK] BENEFIEL was the daughter of Spence & Rosia Etta [SNOW] MEDLOCK. She was the wife of Charley Foss BENEFIEL. She was the mother of Velma (born about 1925 in Missouri) and Charles (born about 1935 in Missouri) and possibly others.

Cora Bell Benefiel, 90, daughter of Spencer and Etta Medlock, was born March 4, 1895, at Raymondville. She died Jan. 29, 1986, at Houston House, where she had lived for the past three months. Previous to that she lived at Yukon for 65 years. She was married to Charley F. Benefiel Jan. 12,1912 who preceded her in death. The couple had five children, one died in infancy. Surviving are her children, Troy Benefiel of Houston; Lucille Hartzog of Harrisonville, Velma Burnley of St. Louis and Charles Benefiel of Yukon; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Yukon Methodist Church. Over the years she liked to keep busy doing fancy work, making quilts, crocheting rugs and working in the yard and flowers. Services were Saturday, Feb. 1, at Evans Funeral home Chapel with the Rev. Payton Smyer officiating. Burial was in the Allen Cemetery
