:Mrs. Carrie C. Bardonner of Columbia City, passed away at an early hour Sunday morning, Apr. 3 at the Whitley County Hospital, Columbia City. Mrs. Bardonner had been in failing health for the past two weeks, but didn't become seriously ill until Friday, Apr 1, when she suffered a stroke.Mrs. Bardonner was born Mar. 31, 1894 at Arcadia, the daughter of Peter and Barbara Waltz. On May 29, 1923, she was married to Walter Bardonner at Arcadia, but has resided at Columbia City for the past 32 years. She was graduated from Arcadia High School and took teachers training at Balls State Teachers College, Muncie, and Terre Haute Normal.She was a member of the Lutheran Camp Association, Lutheran Hour, Lutheran Layman's League, Whitley County Home Township Home Demonstration Club, Ladies Aid and Birthday Club, Lutheran Women's Missionary League and St. John's Lutheran church.Mrs. Bardonner taught at Ft. Wayne State School and also at Buffalo Corner, near Arcadia.Survivors include her husband, Walter Bardonner; three brothers, Walter Waltz of Hartford City, Charles and Harry Waltz, both of Arcadia. She was a twin sister of Harry Waltz. Two sisters, Miss Dora Waltz and Miss Clara Waltz, both of Arcadia.
