She was born on Nov. 15, 1921, in Metamora, the daughter of George and Rachel (Bucher) Hodel. She married Lawrence L. Trotter on Nov. 25, 1945, in Metamora. He passed away on Jan. 28, 2007.
Four brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Dale (Diane) Trotter of Lacon and Larry (Stephanie) Trotter of Youngsville, N.C.; and one daughter, Joan (Robert) Gunderson of Peoria. She is further survived by four grandsons, Dirk (and Piper) Trotter and Daniel, Andrew and Josiah Trotter; five granddaughters, Kim (and Rick) Mills, Dawn, Corrie and Abby Trotter and Diana Gunderson; two great-grandsons, Cameron Mills and Lennon Trotter. Also surviving are three brothers, Bob (Sharon) Hodel of Sun Lake, Ariz., Don (Mary) Hodel of Washington and Ross (Sheila) Hodel of Springfield, Ill.; and two sisters, Joan Summer of Washington and Jean (Stan) Hohulin of Kingston, Tenn.
She was a bookkeeper for several years for Trotter & Hodel.
She was a member of Christian Union Church-Metamora, the Church Philithia, women's guild of the church and Metamora Women's Club.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora.
