Funeral Rites Held For Mrs. Keyes

Funeral rites for Mrs. Lillie "Bertie" Roberta Keyes, 83, were held on April 11 at 10 a.m. from Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church.

A native of Smith County, Ala., she was a resident of Lucedale and a member of the Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church. She died April 8 at the Golden Age Home.

Survivors include her husband, Omer Boyce Keyes, Lucedale; four children, Doyce R. Keyes, Prince George, Va., Curtis D. Keyes, Lucedale; Betty Jean West, Wilmer, Ala., and Billy Jo Keyes, Fenton, Mo. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; one brother, Preston Yelverton, Rayville, La., and two sisters, Alice Rae Pilutti, Ocean Springs, and Mrs. Etta Faye Wells, Laurel.

Officiating at the service were Rev. Larry Hoyt and Buford Simms. Interment was in Magnolia Cemetery, with Fails Funeral Service directing.
