Eliza Ann was thought to be Eliza Jane by most of the Bakers. However, her name is clearly stated to be "Ann" in the Baker family bible (property of Eldon Thomas Baker - Grover's eldest son).

Eliza is known to have "dipped snuff very neatly". Ruetta Alexander recalled her mother, Cora (Mrs. Dee Willie Baker), talking of Eliza's later years. Eliza asked for pork chops every evening and she liked a bottle of beer at bedtime. She died of a massive hemorrhage, as she was walking the 3 blocks to the grocery store.
