Born March 20, 1905, in Lafayette, she attended school in Otterbein and lived in Remington most of her life. She had lived at Rosewalk Commons for two years.
She married Jacob J. Petersen on Feb. 12, 1929, and he died Oct. 2, 1970.
Mrs. Petersen was a homemaker and a member of Remington Presbyterian Church and Women's Society, Mutual Benefit Club of Benton and Jasper counties, Soeta Club of Remington and after moving to Lafayette, she became a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Otterbein.
Her hobbies were flower and vegetable gardening.
Surviving are two daughters, Catherine Reed and Mary Reed (husband: Robert), both of West Lafayette and a son, John Petersen (wife: Janie) of Fowler.
Nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren also survive.
Preceded in death by a son, Walter Petersen a daughter, Martha Stevens 2 brothers, Walter and John Miller. .
