W. B. Murray Dies Monday
Final rites for William B. Murray, 87, were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Sheets funeral home. The Rev. Raymon Ferguson officiated with burial in the Red Oak cemetery.
A life-long resident of the Tipton area, Mr. Murray died at his home in Tipton Monday following a lingering illness. He was born in Red Oak township Aug. 22, 1865, and married Clara E. Pate April 30, 1889.
The couple farmed near here until 1942 when they retired and moved to Buchanan where they lived for a year and then moved to Tipton.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Lee Miller, and Mrs. Frank Smith, Solon; a son, Alex, Tipton; a sister, Jennie Murray, Tipton; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
