1936 graduate of Clifton High. Attended John Tarleton College in Stephenville. Joined Farmers State Bank in Clifton in Aug. 1939, as the only employee in the bookkeeping dept. and worked for 2 years before taking time out to serve 4 1/2 years in the US Army Air Corps during WW II.
He married Clara Lammert 30 Dec. 1942 at the Lammert family home in Clifton. He returned to his career at Farmers State Bank after the war and he and Clara raised their family in Clifton. Survived by wife, 2 sons Gene & Clinton & 1 daughter Betty Townsend."
