Michael Dean Talley, 56, of Owatonna, died Friday, December 5, 2008 at his home.
He was born July 14, 1952 in Owatonna the son of Melvin and Beatrice (Stransky) Talley. Michael graduated from Marian High School in 1970. He married Corinne Hoban Oct.30, 1970 at the United Methodist Church in Owatonna.
He worked for many years at Von Ruden Manufacturing/WSI. He later worked for Blount, Mercury Minnesota and currently at Misgen Auto Salvage in Ellendale. Michael's hobbies included snowmobiling, working on cars, woodworking, boating, fishing. He was very active in the Faribo Sno Go snowmobile club and was a snowmobile safety instructor for 20 years. Michael loved spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren. Michael was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Michael is survived by his wife, Corinne Talley of Owatonna; son, John (and Jenny) Talley of Faribault; daughter, Angie (and Jay) Forcelle of Owatonna; grandchildren, Genevieve Talley, Arianna and Jace Forcelle; brother, Jerry Talley of Owatonna; sisters, Barbara (and Jack) Monahan of Waseca, Lori (and Jerry) Wobshall of Ellendale, Margie (and Odean) Otterson of Clarks Grove, Sandra (and Dick) Amberg of Owatonna and several nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. and at United Methodist Church on Wednesday from 9-10 a.m.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church with Pastor Loren Olson officiating. Interment will be in Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna.
