Billy J. Milner, 85, passed away January 15, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Okla. He was
born August 10, 1929 in Woodward, Okla., to Richard Milner and Orilla Shirkey
(Milner).

Bill was a very humorous, ornery, and caring man that loved life. He always
touched everyone's hearts that he came in contact with and would do just about
anything for anyone. He enjoyed tinkering with electronics and was the general
all around handyman. His kids would say, "If Bill can't fix it, then it cannot
be fixed."

Bill joined the armed forces in March of 1952 and was honorably discharged from
the Army in March of 1954. He graduated from Oklahoma City University in 1957
and OSU-OKC in 1967. He retired as a biotechnical engineer from VA Hospital in
Oklahoma City, OK in 1984.

Bill was a member of Teacup Chains Square Dance Club in Edmond, Okla. and
Territorial Squares in Guthrie, Okla. He loved to square dance and all of the
friends that he made while square dancing. Before Bill got ill, he would go
square dancing several times a week and even if he wasn't feeling well he would
go to support the group.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jeff Milner, four brothers, and a
sister.

He is survived by his wife Jolene Milner of Edmond, sister Nell Pope of San
Antonio, Texas, son Charlie (Janet) Milner of Edmond, daughter Linda (Chris)
Wilson of Boerne, Texas, step-children Ronda (Craig) States of Shawnee, Okla.,
Robert (Lisa) Tucker of Edmond, Regina Hobbs of Edmond, and Robyn (Max) Rinehart
of Newcastle, Okla., 16 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday January 20, 2015 at Matthews Funeral
Home in Edmond, with interment at Gracelawn Cemetery.
