ODESSA, Texas - Caroline Christine Emerson, 93, died Nov. 22, 2008. She was born April 3, 1915, in Fayetteville to Arnette and Cordelia Bogan.

She was secretary to a federal judge in Midland, Texas, for more than 40 years. She was a member and past president of Beta Sigma Phi, the Rho Master Chapter and was recently honored for 60 years of membership. She was a Methodist. She was a former resident of Springdale.

Survivors include three daughters, Debbie McMillan and husband Gary of Odessa, Jackie Simpson of Booneville and Joanna Williams and husband Don of Springdale; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Nov. 25 at Acres West Funeral Chapel in Odessa.

Carolyn Christine Emerson passed from this life on Saturday, November 22, 2008 to be with her Lord and Savior. Carolyn was born on April 3, 1915 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Arnette and Cordelia Bogan. She was of the Methodist faith.

Carolyn is survived by three daughters: Debbie McMillan and husband Gary of Odessa, Jackie Simpson of Booneville, Arkansas, and Joanna Williams and husband Don of Springdale, Arkansas; eight grandchildren: Chris McMillan, Casey McMillan, Michael, McMillan, Melissa McMillan, Ricky Simpson, Randy Simpson, Michelle Naugle, and Richard Drymon; and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

For forty years of her life, she was secretary to Federal Judge Lucius D. Bunton in Midland. She was a member and past president of Beta Sigma Phi, the Rho Master Chapter, and was recently honored for her sixty years of membership. She loved the sisters of the sorority and was active until her health failed her in the last few months.

The family would like to thank her friends for the flowers and prayers. We extend special thanks to the wonderful staff of Buena Vida Nursing Center, Regency Hospital, and Hospice House for their care of Carolyn in the last days of her life on earth.

Memorial services are set for 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
