Mr. Arthur "Max" Jordan, 80, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, at a local hospital. He had been a resident of the area since 1946, coming here from Graceville, Fla., and was Baptist by faith. Mr. Jordan served his country in the U. S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. He retired from the Naval Coastal Systems Station after 30 years. Mr. Jordan was an avid gardener who loved flowers. His hobbies were fishing, dancing, and traveling. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Jordan, of Panama City; three sons; the mother of his sons, Minnie Jordan of Panama City; grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters; three stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2001, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Pledger officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001 from 4 until 7 p.m.
