SAN ANGELO — Randolph Rubin Jewell, 93, of San Angelo died Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, in Baptist Memorial Nursing Home. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, in Fairmount Cemetery with Kris Groda of Ninth and Main Church of Christ and Red Scott with Masonic Lodge officiating. Mr. Jewell was born June 26, 1912, in Gonzales County to William Randolph Jewell and Rena Floyd Jewell. He married Dorothy Marie Pridemore on Dec. 19, 1939, in Lubbock. Randolph owned and operated a painting and papering business in San Angelo for 41 years. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 1260, Lubbock Scottish Rite Consistory, Suez Shrine and Ninth and Main Church of Christ. Survivors include his son, Larry Jewell and wife Pat of San Angelo; two grandchildren, Larry Jewell Jr. and wife Camille of San Angelo, and Layne Jewell of New Orleans; two great-grandchildren, Jaret and Schylar Jewell of San Angelo; a sister, Vivian Bozeman of Coleman; and special friends Jeff Cuellar and Sherry Bradford. The family requests that memorials be made to the Shriners Hospital or Meals for the Elderly.
