Died, at Proctor, July 30, Mrs. Carrie N. Proctor nee Allen, aged 34 years, 1 month and 4 days. The deceased was born in Rutland, Vermont, and when young moved to Rutland, Illinois where the former part of her life was spent. She, with her husband, came to this neighborhood about 12 years ago, where she resided until her death. As a Sunday School worker, a mother, a kind neighbor and friend, she will be greatly missed. Ailing for some months, her suffering was borne very patiently, and during the last few weeks of her life she talked about dying very much, and expressed her wish that she could soon go, speaking cheering words to all around her. A kind and devoted husband, one daughter, father, mother, one sister and brother are left to mourn her loss. The funeral was held at the house Thursday, conducted by Rev. Stephens, and the remains taken to Gibson for burial.
