Robert "Ozzie" Stanley Walls Sr., of Goldsboro, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, in Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover. He was 63. He was born March 28, 1945 in Goldsboro, to Elizabeth E. Cole Walls and the late Melvin Wheatley Walls, Sr. of Goldsboro. Mr. Walls was a U.S. Army veteran servicing in the Vietnam War. He was an employee of Playtex of Dover for 38 years retiring in 2003. He was a member of Greensboro VFW Post 7937 and Harrington Moose. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing, antique collecting and playing cards with friends and his family. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, William Michael Walls in 1974. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Susan Deford Walls; one son, Robert Walls of Henderson; three brothers, Melvin S. Walls Jr., Noble J. Walls Sr., and Donald Wayne Walls all of Henderson; and grandmother, Mabel Cole of Henderson; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, P.A on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday from Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W.
