MAXTON -- O.C. Miller, 74, of 21615 Andrew Jackson Highway died Sunday in Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg.

Mr. Miller was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Armstrong Masonic Lodge No. 305.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church in Laurinburg by the Rev. Lawrence B. Coleman. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Margaret M. Miller of Maxton; a daughter, Brenda Ford of Arlington, Texas; a son, Carl Miller of Aberdeenshire, Scotland; three stepdaughters, Sharon Robinett of Deleon, Texas, Theresa Rudolph of Arlington and Linda S. Womack of Denver, N.C.; two stepsons, Edward Sharpe of Sanford, Fla., and Michael Gilder of Dublin, Texas; two sisters, Electra Mansell of Baton Rouge, La., and Winnie Kennedy of Waco, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at McDougald Funeral Home in Laurinburg.
