Doris Blakeley Atkins, of Sanford, died Friday (5/9/03) at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late Ivory and Lina Perry Blakeley. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Kelly, and brothers, Grover and Zeddie Blakeley.
Surviving are a daughter, Sue Edwards of Sanford; a son, Jimmy Atkins and wife Lisa of Bailey; a sister, Betty Paschal and husband Ed; brothers, Paul Blakeley and Tony Blakeley and wife Fran, all of Sanford, and Jerry Blakeley and wife Lillian of Carthage; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Rocky Fork Christian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
