Mr. Cosby, a disabled veteran, was born on October 22, 1930 in Richland Parish to the union of Buford and Verna Dortch Cosby and died on April 6, 1998 at St. Francis Medical Center, Monroe, La.
He was an Air Force veteran and served in the Korean conflict.
He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Roy Dean Cosby.
Survivors include his mother, Verna Dortch Cosby; one son, Robert Timothy Cosby of Baton Rouge, La.; two daughters, Kay Ellen Cosby, West Monroe, La. and Lisa Denise Cosby, Columbia; two brothers, Ronnie Mac Cosby, Lexington, Ky. and Danny Wayne Cosby, Monroe, La.; one sister, Carolyn Raye Simmons, West Monroe, La. and two grandchildren, Eric Strahan and Robert Cosby.
