Obituary
Cleo Carl Chenoweth was born near Arcadia, Kansas, December 1, 1893, and departed this life December 20, 1920, at Peoria, Illinois, at the age of 27 years, and 20 days. He came with his parents to Wellington in 1898, where he continued to reside until 1913, when he removed to Peoria, Illinois. He enlisted in the army and served with the American Expeditionary Forces until the close of the war. Upon terminating his connection with the army he returned to Peoria, where he remained until his death. He leaves to mourn his departure besides his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. J.V. Chenoweth, two brothers, John and Roy of this city, and two sisters, Mrs. Ada Collins and Mrs. Rachel Scovill, both of Lascar, Colorado.

Funeral services were held at the home, 315 East Eleventh Street, December 24 at ten a.m. in charge of Rev. Floyd A. Bash, assisted by Rev. Robert Shupe. Interment was made in Prairie Lawn cemetery.

In these whom they have blessed
They live a life again.
And shall live through the years
Eternal life, and grow.
Each day more beautiful,
As time declares their good.
Forgets the rest, and proves
Their immortality."
