Orville received his diploma from Whitefield School in 1924. He was a S/Sgt in the Army Air Corps during WWII and was killed on his 50th mission on 4/18/1944.

According to the US Rosters of World War II Dead, Raymond O. Bacon enlisted in the Army on July 2, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

323rd Bomb Group 454th Squadron Flight Engineer

He was the son of Edward & Pearl (Fowler) Bacon and step-son of Ray/Roy (James Robert) Gulley. He had two brothers, Duard and Alton Bacon & three half brothers, Gerald, Sylvester and James Gulley. His Grandfather was Sylvester Fowler.

Brother Alton Bacon died in 1977, in Arizona.
