Rites Set For Mrs. WILLCOX
Funeral Will Be Held This Afternoon at Baptist Church

Dr. Millard A. JENKENS, pastor of the First Baptist church, will conduct funeral services at the church at 4:30 this afternoon for Mrs. Mabel Ada WILLCOX, wife of George E. WILLCOX, retired West Texas ranchman. Interment will be in the Cedar Hill cemetery.

Mrs. WILLCOX died at a local sanitarium at 12:55 Friday afternoon, following a three weeks illness. She entered the sanitarium February 1.

Active pallbearers for the funeral will be J. Lee TARPLEY, L. A. SADLER, C. C. COWDEN, James A. LITTLETON, R. E. DAVIS and Bert E. LOW. Honorary pall bearers will be G. L. PAXTON, Sr., W. E. LOGSDON, R. S. TALLOTSON and Dr. E. B. ATWOOD, all of Abilene; and T. S. CURRIE, W. B. CURRIE, J. B. HARDING, Dell HATCH, J. D. CUNNINGHAM, C. F. MORRIS, R. T. PINER and I. B. CAUBLE, all of Big Spring.

Came From Big Spring

Mr. and Mrs. WILLCOX and their family came to Abilene 18 months ago from Big Spring, where they had lived 18 years. Mr. WILLCOX, formerly a Howard county ranchman, retired from active business upon moving to Abilene. The family residence is at 2142 Grape street.

Mabel Ada PUETT was born in Bell county and was married to Mr. WILLCOX in Temple, December 1895. Her husband and five children survive. They are Mrs. G. W. ROBERTS, Amarillo, Mrs. H. E. HENNING of Wichita Falls, P. L. WILLCOX of Big Spring, Mrs. Dorothy Willcox LEE and Miss Koreen WILLCOX of Abilene.

Mrs. WILLCOX is also survived by her mother, Mrs. S. M. PUETT of Temple, two sisters, Mrs. Moss PLUNKETT of Roanoke, Va., and Mrs. Bert CROSNO of Temple and five brothers, Nelson and June PUETT of Lulling, Charles PUETT of Lubbock, Flake PUETT of Dallas and Clabourne PUETT of Temple.

Mrs. WILLCOX was a member of the Baptist church.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Laughter Undertaking Company.
