Mr. Gingrich was born April 12, 1848, in Perry County, Pennsylvania, the son of Lewis and Caroline (Shumaker) Gingrich. He was united in marriage to Martha Ellen Rosesteel and she survives him. Mr. Gingrich was a farmer.
Arrangements were under the care of Hughes Maupin of Auxvasse. Burial was in the United Brethren Church Cemetery.
