3 Dec 2008: Curtis R. Batdorf, 88, of Hershey, formerly of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at home. He was born December 3, 1919 in Lancaster, a son of the late Adam and Mary (Snyder) Batdorf. Mr. Batdorf was a World War II Navy Veteran; co-owner of Wilt Silk Screening; founder and co-owner of Lebanon Pharmacy, Inc.; founder and owner of Mastergraphics, Inc.; and co-founder of Colortech, Inc. all in the Lebanon area. Surviving are his loving wife, Kathryn (Spannuth) Batdorf; step-son, James W. Stock and his wife Marion; 3 step-grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Beatrice M. Link and a brother, Robert A. Batdorf. Services will be held Friday, December 5, 2008, at 11 a.m., in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. Route #422 & Lucy Avenue, Hershey. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:30 a.m., until service time. Interment will be in the Hershey Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
