After graduation, he pursued his life long career as a self-employed rancher. Throughout the years he was active in the Idaho Cattleman's Association and was on the Board of Directors of the Pacific Empire Life Insurance Company. Dale lived in Genesee his whole life, but he cut a much wider swath. He made friends with everyone he met, from the bank teller to the checker at the Safeway store. He spent much of his time in the past years at Sunup Bay with Glenda, or driving the country side with his son Andrew.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Glenda, his sons Michael and fiancée Becky of Genesee, Peter and Ruby of Hailey, Steven and Nancy of Genesee, Andrew of Moscow, and his daughter, Melissa and husband Richard of Boise. He leaves behind his legacy of love in his nine grandchildren, Eric, David, Elizabeth, Rachael, Sarah, Melissa, Rebecca, Stephanie and Edward. He is also survived by his sister Ann Nilsson of Cavendish. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanton and Leona, and his older brother Donald Becker.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, St. Mary's Catholic Church in Genesee. Vassar-Rawls is handling the arrangements for the family.
