Plezza L. Allen, daughter of Thomas and Lucy Allen, was born Jan. 22, 1870, in Missouri, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wilma L. Wilson, Las Vegas, Nev., May 8, 1943, at the age of 73 years, 3 months, and 16 days.

When she was about two years of age she came with her parents to Iowa to a farm southwest of Norwalk. In 1888 she was united in marriage to William C. Dillard. After their marriage they moved to their own farm just west of Greenbush.

To this union three children were born: Thomas G. in Lebanon, Ore.; Mrs. Mary F. Banks, Spring Hill, Iowa; and Mrs. Wilma L. Wilson, Las Vegas, Nev. Her husband preceded her in death in 1894.

In 1900 she was married to Henry L. Lutz, and to this union two sons were born: Paul E. Lutz, Provo, Utah; and Carl C. Lutz, a marine, somewhere in his country's service.

Mrs. Lutz when a young girl accepted Christ as her Saviour, and united with the Church of Christ in Norwalk. After an absence of some years, she and her sister, Mrs. Mary Belle Inskeep, brought their letters with them from the Church of Christ in Bloomfield, Iowa, and were received again into the fellowship of the church of their girlhood days. That was in 1940.

Mrs. Lutz leaves to mourn their loss besides her five children one brother, Samual Allen, Redding, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Belle Inskeep, who is making her home for the present with her son, the Rev. Samuel Wall of Whitten, Iowa; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of relatives and friends.

Mrs. Lutz was kind and amiable in disposition and always interested in the welfare of others. She was a kind wife and loving mother. She did what she could. She was optimistic and cheerful and always made the best of everything. Christ was always her constant friend; and in the valley of the shadow she was not alone.

Services were conducted by the Rev. A.N. Simpson in the Methodist church at Spring Hill. Interment was in the Webb cemetery.
