Born in Vandalia, Ill., on Aug.26, 1911, she was the daughter of Harry Powel and Letta Smith Katon.
She was married on March 28, 1931 to Homer "Pete" Michel, who survives.
Mrs. Michel was a member of hte First Presbyterian Church and the Helpers Club.
Surviving with her husband are two sons, H. Clell Michel and Neil Michel, both of Tipton. Four grandchildren also survive.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity or church. Members of the Tipton Lions Club also have established a memorial fund which will be turned over to hte American Cancer Society in Mrs. Michel's name.
