James A. Bell, age 84, of Simpson community, passed away Friday, February 23, after an illness of several months.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 25th from Salem Methodist Church with Rev. C. R. Scott and Rev. M. M. Shivers officiating. Interment was in the Salem cemetery.
Mr. Bell was a retired farmer and a member of Salem Methodist Church and had resided in this community his entire life.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Carrie Lee Bell; five sons, Wade Bell of Greer, S. C., Mort, John, and Joe Bell of Franklin, and Lonnie A. Bell of Augusta; one sister, Mrs. Garnett Miller of Franklin; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Lipford & Stutts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
