James M. Murray of Lindenwold, NJ, formerly of Medford, NJ died Tuesday, November 25, 2008. He was 50. Jim was born in Yonkers, NY and grew up in New York and Willingboro before moving to Medford. He was a graduate of Shawnee High School, Class of 1976, and a graduate of the University of Scranton. He was on the wrestling team in both high school and college. Jim traveled and lived in Southeast Asia where he worked in the oil fields and the import and export business. While living abroad, he met his wife, Celerina in Singapore. Due to health reasons, he moved back to the states and eventually settled in Lindenwold. Jim was a volunteer soccer coach for his son's team in Lindenwold. Jim was an extremely devoted and loving father, husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. Predeceased by his natural father, James (1961), brother Martin (1999), stepfather William Neal (2007), and brother Pierce (11/2008), Jim is survived by his wife Celerina "Cerrie" (nee Gaspar), his son, Brendan, and his mother Colette Neal. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, December 6th at 12 Noon at St. Luke's R.C. Church, Warwick Rd., Stratford, NJ. Interment is in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Medford. A viewing will be held Friday evening, 6-8 PM at the Lechner Funeral Home, 24 N. Main St., Medford and Saturday morning from 11 AM until the time of Mass at St. Luke's. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Brendan Murray Trust Fund, C/O the funeral home.
