Funeral to Be Monday For Charles S. Adams, 19

Seaman (2/c) Charles S. Adams, 19, of 509 West Eight Street, died Friday at 5:45 p.m. in the Ohio Valley Hospital ay Steubenville from injuries suffered in an accident there June 1.

The young sailor, according to a police report, was found in an unconscious condition on Washington street appartly having been crushed between a driverless automobile and a house.

Relatives of Seaman Adams said that the young man, who had been home on leave from the navy, had gone to Steubenville on the night of May 31 to report to the naval recruiting officer after he lost his railroad ticket to his station in San Francisco. He was a member of the crew of the Ship Cyrene.

He had been in the service for about 15 months. He spent most of his life in East Liverpool.

He leaves his mother, Mrs. Icy Crable, and his stepfather, Russell Crable, both of East Liverpool; a brother, Richard Adams, also of East Liverpool and two sisters, Miss Shirley Adams of Canton, and Mrs. Lorraine Reddick of Washington.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
