Carlos LaMonte Robinson passed away on November 26, 2008 at the Avalon Care Center in Bountiful, Utah following a stroke.

He was born in Salt Lake City on August 20, 1934 to Carlos Stoffel and Edith Tomlinson Robinson. He married Ida Mecham on June 16, 1955. They had four children, Rebecca Jean, Craig Lamonte, Pamela Kaye, and Linda Anne, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. They were later divorced. He also married Joyce McWhirter. LaMonte worked as a carpenter and built the home he raised his family in. He also worked at Phillips Petroleum Co. for many years. He loved gardening and sharing the fruits and vegetables he grew with neighbors and friends. An avid runner, he ran in many races including the Boston Marathon. He was a kind and giving man and made friends wherever he went.

He is survived by his children, Becky (John) Gold, Craig (Joanne) Robinson, Pam (John) Montgomery, and Linda Robinson; his former wife, Ida Robinson; a brother, Wallace (Diane) Robinson; and a sister, Jeanene (Garvan) Bucaria. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; his sister, Colleen; and his parents.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 1, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Bountiful 27th Ward Building, 1145 North 200 East, with a viewing from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. at the Church prior to the services.
Interment will be at the Bountiful Memorial Park.
