John Everett, known as Everett, was the son of Thomas Jefferson & Teresa Ann Francis (Richey) Campbell. Everett was married to Martha Lulu Ramsay Cowden in 1904 in Missouri. Martha Lulu had a child, Myrtle Virginia, from her first marriage to Moses L. Cowden whom she divorced. Everett and Lulu had one son, Clarence Glen, born in Missouri in 1904.

Everett came to Oklahoma with the rest of the Campbell family and he and his younger brother Que worked in barber shops in Sparks and Jennings. He contracted tuberculosis from one of the barber shops and died as a young man in 1916.
