JENNINGS Funeral services for Norris Joseph Veronie, 88, will be at 10:30 a.m. today, Oct. 15, from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
The Revs. Thomas Panthalani and T.L. Herlong will officiate. Burial will be in Basile Catholic Cemetery under direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 8 a.m. A rosary was said Friday.
Mr. Veronie died Thursday, Oct. 13, 1994, in the Welsh hospital.
A native of Basile, he was a retired operator for Superior Oil Co.
Survivors are one son, Verlin Veronie of Conroe, Texas; one daughter, June Henry of Welsh; two brothers, Ellie Veronie of Jennings and A.B. Veronie of Basile; three sisters, Edna Chesley of Jennings, Thelma Bazinet of Basile and Clarise Cart of Iota; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
