She was born April 13, 1909, in Witherbee, the daughter of Matthew and Katherine (Dembroski) Glebus.
She was employed for many years at the Moriah Central School cafeteria. She loved to cook. Anna was affectionately known as "Ancha."
Anna is survived by her sons, John Podres and his wife, Joan, Walter Podres, and Thomas Podres and his friend, Jan; a daughter-in-law, Rita Podres; her grandchildren, Joseph (Trish) Podres, John Podres, Kevin (Sue) Guilfoil, James Podres, Chris Podres, Scott Podres, Eric Podres, Jennifer (Josh) Barber and Melissa (Rob) Rajeski; her great-grandchildren, Laura, Emma and Kate Guilfoil and Benjamin Barber.
She is predeceased by her husband, Jospeh G. Podres, her daughter, Mary and her son James.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Church of All Saints in Mineville. Burial will be in St. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Moriah.
